Cassie The Princess

Cassie 13 weeks!
Cassie is having a baby! I can't wait! I am going to be a grandma for the first time. Where did the time go? Honestly it seems like yesterday I was bringing Cassie home from the hospital. She will be an awesome mom. She is so sweet and so dedicated to her family.

Fun at the ocean!

Daughter=Bestfriend

To me daughter and best friend are one in the same. I am so lucky because I have the best daughters in the world! Kendall is such a beautiful girl, but what is so cool about Kendall is she is beautiful on the inside too. Ever since she was born she has been my guardian angel. She has always had the wisdom of a wise owl. She was just born knowing right from wrong. She is a shinning example to me of a great friend. She is kind and thoughtful and I love her. I am so thankful to have her for my daughter and I appreciate that she has been such a good friend. If I ever need anything she is always right there to help me. Sometimes I think the Lord sends us exactly what we need in our children. Obviously, I needed the best 4 girls that heaven had. Thank you Lord, I am so blessed.

What a Stud!

Soccer 2009

There it is! Caysen's first soccer season. He is awesome at soccer. He has the best team and I am not just saying that because I am the coach! We have had a lot of fun watching Caysen play soccer! He has scored 2 goals off his corner kicks and another from mid field. He has a very strong kick as did all his sisters! Part of the fun in playing a sport is wearing the uniform. Caysen wears his well!Posted by Picasa

The latest ride!

Caysen has taken to scootering as his main way of transportation. He is all over the neighborhood visiting his friend's house to see if they can come over. His friends Sam and Collin both have scooters too. Luckily, he has a great babysitter who has taught him some moves. He calls his new moves a 360 and a bunny hop! He really likes to ride his scooter to the park and ride the paths.

Cayen was a born fisherman. I think in a former life he lived in the wild. He could be happy if camping was a way of life. One day Paul, who is not a natural at being an outdoors man broke down and took him fishing at Bass Lake. Bass Lake is a catch and release man made lake. Caysen worked hard to keep himself busy because fishing takes some patience. But at last the moment finally came they had caught one! A blue gill! Due to the barb on the hook it took a little longer to release, but they finally got the fish unhooked and Caysen proudly threw him back in the lake. Paul didn't realize they had a no barb sign posted when they started fishing. I believe this was one of Caysen's greatest days! Caysen still talks to people about his blue gill he caught that day. He will go to the fish hatchery and see men there fishing and ask, "what'd you catch?". When they reply he can't wait to shout out.... I caught a BLUE GILL!

The Magic Marble Jar!

Cassie asked, “How much Kendall paid Caysen to do his photo shoot”. I believe she offered him 2 marbles, but when all was said and done she gave him 3 because he worked so hard! Let me explain, Caysen's has a best friend Sam and his parents have just started a reward system for him allowing him to get a marble every time he does something good. Caysen thought this was the best idea ever. I agreed and I pulled out an old large vase and a small vase from the closest. Voila! My Magic Marble jar was ready! I instantly came up with a customized plan for Caysen on how our marble jar would work. The large jar is just extra marbles and the small jar collects Caysen’s earnings! Each marble Caysen earns is worth a quarter so by Friday when he can cash in all of his marbles he has earned that week he could potentially have around $5.00. Immediately a miracle followed and the great behavior began! Imagine my surprise when he was happy to brush his teeth, take a bath, go to school, do his homework and help out with the chores. You might think taking a bath or brushing your teeth is easy, but for Caysen they are or were dreaded events. Now he is always counting his marbles and planning what he will buy next or what he can do to earn more marbles. Lately our trips to Target have come up empty handed. He has decided to save his money for the mighty $100.00 Lego Star Wars Ship. Wow! Can you imagine his motivation to do more good things to earn $100.00? So, for now the marble jar is my best friend! Next month might be a different story!

Kendall the Photographer!

Photobucket
Kendall paid Caysen to do a photo shoot! If you know Caysen you would know pictures aren't his favorite thing, but with a family of sisters he has learned to cooperate! She managed to get a couple of good ones. He is in Kindergarten and he loves it. I wasn’t so happy to see him go to school. He is my baby and I could have kept him home with me forever. I’ve learned the hard way that your kids will grow up and then you end up wondering what you are to do now, especially because my girls are truly my best friends. Caysen the sweet boy he is, always reminds me “you will always have me mom” as the girls leave home one by one! If only that was true! But for now I am enjoying every moment of the time I still have with Kendall and Caysen at home.
